About the design process: Reflecting the creative nature of the content Verve posts, Ferg Davidson sought to design our merch using innovative processes that are a step away from ‘the norm’.

Using Nvidia GAN, you teach computers to predict outcomes based on the dataset you train them with. For example, you provide the computer with a sketch and materials and GAN turns these sketches into artificial landscapes.

Instead of using the traditional sketches and materials, however; Ferg decided to play with ‘breaking the simulation’ by feeding the program unusual data. Using ‘Verve’ as the basis of the data he was injecting the program with, the outcome was this wonderfully whack, weird and a bit dystopian GAN interpretation which you can see as the graphic on the tote bag.
