Every so often we get treated to a mix recorded by a young DJ who kindly shares their digging feats on our platform. This time around, dark techno and brooding synth melodies take you on a 2 hour-long journey thanks to Pablo Wilcox. In Pablo’s words, you’ll find below the thought process behind his mix.
“As a club goer, as well as someone who plays reasonably frequently at late night venues, I have found my recent experiences to be both rewarding and frustrating. Despite having the best intentions of playing with absolute creative freedom, the external factors of a club environment have an inevitable influence on the dynamic of most sets I perform. This mix has therefore been created as a breath of fresh air from this setting; a means to properly explore areas that I may usually leave uncharted. It is an attempt to blend spaces and environments, moods and genres, in a way that may be appealing to both the moving body in a dark room, as well as an immersed, half asleep headphone listener.”
