'Deadweight' / Moses Carr

Musician and producer Moses Carr has released a music video for his latest single 'DEADWEIGHT'. 

"Deadweight is my approach of throwing Baila (Sri Lankan pop music) and dark/experimental dance music sensibilities together. I wanted to create a slow developing beat that sounded mechanical and continuous. The middle section features a choir or triplet rap acapellas bouncing over the four on the floor. The last section reintroduces the percussion from the start but with Theo Carbo on a relentless whaling guitar line.

The process for the video was really special! I had the dancers improvise and respond to different sections of the piece to capture the different energies. They came up with scores responding to eachother and the space in a very organic way". - Moses Carr
