Kong Kord is a five piece ensemble entwined in the effervescent Soul and RnB web of Melbourne. Band members Lachlan Thompson, Siwei Wong, Darcy Stibbard, Jonah Grant and Skÿe have recently united to bring EP ‘Filth Filth Filth’ into fruition. The EP has apparent influence from the likes of Erykah Badu to MF Doom, capturing both the feel of family comfort while also allowing you to get down right filthy boogieing. Three tracks grace the album: Sortin around (intro), Lord Only Knows and Was Here; all of which are brimful of jazzy vocals and groovy bass-lines - my biggest weakness. Though undoubtedly the real treat is snippets of Kermit the Frog adorning the EP - my real biggest weakness.

Check out their music here or come to their event supporting Combinado on the 25th!
