'Bend Me Broken' / Moses Carr

Moses Carr is the conduit for the world's divine sound material. The young, Melbourne-based computer-music innovator is set to launch his newest single, ‘Bend Me Broken’; an anti-hero trap anthem with kaleidoscopic music video directed by Lucas Haynes to accompany the track.

’Bend Me Broken’ is an unforgiving beat that can be played loud in a in a large atmosphere. It’s a puzzle for any headphone listener to pick apart. The attention-grabbing percussive detail is spontaneous and playful with the aid of dizzying distant harmonies. The downtempo chorus, sung by Imogen Cygler, seems to arrive at once with angelic four part harmony and gravely low bass to creating a soundtrack to what Carr describes as “an ant suffocating in honey”. Lucky Pereira’s contribution on the djembe cuts through the sustained noise in heavy syncopated statements”.

The video sees Moses at his wits end, as he relentlessly runs through a psychedelic suburban landscape. Once Moses reaches his limit of endurance Lucky and Imogen perform a throbbing chorus before driving away, leaving him in the dust.

Moses Carr would like to thank Lucas immensely on his work on the video, who provided a constant flow of ideas and was a pleasure to collaborate with. Carr notes that this will be the first of many that the two will create together.
