'Poststamps, portraits, potplants etc.' / Coco Sims

Coco Sims' work has organically grown from a morbid curiosity that one has when first experimenting with stick-and-poke tattoos. What once was sewing needles and cheap ink has evolved into tattoo guns and flash sheets. Empty vases, misshapen animals, and contorted faces are the small repetitive motifs that contribute to her individual style and conception of her own work. In more recent times Coco's tattoos have gained enough popularity to warrant setting up a small studio for her portable illustrations. Below is a sample of Coco's sketches. However, don't be a fool in believing that as the full extent of her artistic practice, Coco is constantly experimenting with painting and sculptural work.
