'Made in California' / Matthew Shaw

The following are some photos I took in the sunny land of California over a five week trip. Most are comprised into a zine I created called 'Made in California'. I always begin with the camera leading the way and my motivation is to end with good pictures. Exploring with a camera makes the photography organic and is the perfect excuse to wonder further and seek out the unusual. Whether its a nuclear power plant by the bay or a football field in the suburbs of the LA valley, these places are a dream and when you add people to the mix its the perfect recipe for a good pic. Photography is a great exercise to seeing the world in all its colour and absurdity and is why I love it. I hope to tackle more of America/ the planet in the near future.
