MSWPF Opening Night featuring Maxine Beneba Clarke

MSW acknowledges that this event takes place on indigenous land, the land of Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, that this land was stolen, and never ceded. We'd like to acknowledge their elders, past, present and future.

Join Melbourne Spoken Word for a special night of spoken word and poetry to commemorate the opening of the inaugural Melbourne Spoken Word & Poetry Festival.

Featuring Maxine Beneba Clarke, wāni, Neil Morris, Rochelle D'silva, Sean M Whelan, Peter Bakowski and Sigrun Mikula. Hosted by Anthony O'Sullivan.

Doors open 7pm. Tickets on sale April 9.

ACCESSIBILITY: We have been advised that The Toff has a lift to the Second Floor but can't guarantee the lifts will work, or that the toilets (located on stage side) are accessible enough to suit all needs. If you have further questions, we encourage you to clarify your needs with the venue and we will continue to work towards making sure all our future events are fully accessible.

The inaugural Melbourne Spoken Word & Poetry Festival is going to take place between May 17 and June 3, all over Melbourne with over 30 events run by Melbourne Spoken Word and independent poetry and spoken word organisations.
